Chicken Sausage Apple Pastries

Ingredients

1 package Holmes Chicken Sausage Slices (12 oz)
1 package premade puff pastry dough
2 large apples, thinly sliced
4 oz goat cheese
2 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp honey
Pinch of salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a hand mixer, whip together the goat cheese, cream cheese, and salt.
  3. Brush some honey on each spot you will place a pastry on the parchment paper.
  4. Begin layering the chicken sausage slices with the apple slices and placing with space between them on the baking sheet.
  5. Cut the puff pastry dough into 2×3 inch rectangles. Slather a generous dollop of the cheese filling onto each slice, then press them face down onto the sausage and apples.
  6. Bake until the pastry is golden, puffed, and flakey (about 30 minutes). When finished, use a spatula to flip them over. These pastries are best enjoyed warm.
