Here’s the beef on us!

Located deep in the heart of Texas, Holmes Smokehouse was founded in 1970 by Luvine Holmes. From a small meat locker in Rosenberg Texas, Luvine developed our award-winning sausage recipe. Luvine believed that when making sausage:

“You can’t make a good sausage cheap, and you can’t make a cheap sausage good!”

Food Safety

You can rest assured that all of our products are of the finest quality on the market. We are proud to have been recognized and awarded for our exceptional flavors and quality products.  We are equally proud to be one of the elite companies in the world to be awarded the top grade “AA” rating for maintaining exceptional food hygiene standards and safe working conditions in one of the finest plants in the country.

Animal Care

We do not raise the livestock for the meats that we use in our products but we hold our suppliers to the highest animal care standards. Each supplier is audited and must follow American Meat Institute Guidelines. We ensure that the suppliers we select are the finest in the country with respect to animal care.

Giving back to our community is a part of our secret recipe. We have been in business for over 50 years and are active and support the communities we service. We donate to many food banks and hunger relief efforts across the country. We also strive to hire those who have served our country as the members of the armed forces.

Energy Conservation

At Holmes Smokehouse we are committed to the environment and making sure we provide an environmentally friendly product that has the least amount of impact on our planet. We only use water-based inks and recyclable materials on our packaging. We make sure that our plants are also geared with energy efficient lighting, water heaters, and that we do our part to conserve energy.
